Great Fire of London Homework
There has been a fantastic response to our topic on the Great Fire of London this term. Lots of the children's work is on display in the cloakroom and you are welcome to come in to take a look. Thank you all for supporting the children at home with their understanding of this topic.
These are this week's spellings (Week Beginning 28.01.10)
From this week, weekly spelling sheets will be sent home on a FRIDAY as they are needed for spelling lessons.
Spellings - Week beginning 04.02.19
This week's words are all homophones. The children are familiar with the words but need some practice using them in a sentence and spelling them correctly. We will continue to work on these words in class too. Thank you for your support which you give at home with their spellings.
For International Week, We shall be learning about Chinese New Year celebrations. We are learning all about money in maths and we are continuing our topic work on the Great fire of London. Watch out for some photos of our busy week!
This week we are continuing our work with money. We are adding money and finding change the old-fashioned way by counting up. In English, we are focusing on tenses(past and present) and the spelling rules for past tense verbs. Sadly, our topic work on the Great Fire of London is at an end but there may be time for a Fire of London quiz later in the week though! We shall be learning about why keeping ourselves clean is so important as part of our science work on 'Ourselves'.
On Friday (25th), Freddy brought in some delicious chocolate bread and today Lewis brought in some more yummy chocolate bread for us to eat. We would like to say to BIG thank-you to Freddy, Lewis and their mums as well!
Today we have been treated again. This time Josh and Grace brought in bread which they had made at home yesterday. Both loaves were delicious. Thank - you to Josh and Grace and their families too.
