We have enjoyed our English learning this week, where we learnt the story of Rumpelstiltskin. We started the week by acting out the story and then we made characters ready to act it out again, next week. We wrote our own boasts for the miller. Here are some of our favourites:
“I make the best cakes in the land!”
“I build the best houses in the world!”
“I’m the best chef in the world!”
We learnt that a boast is something that people say when they are trying to show off. We have also started to use our interactive punctuation. We have learnt the following...:
Sit up straight: capital letters
One clap: full stop.
In Maths we have been learning about halves and have found half of a shape and a quantity. We know that the whole becomes half when it is split or shared into two equal groups.
We had so much fun planting our sunflower this week, in Science. We started by filling our pots with soil and then we put the seed in a little hole that we made using our finger. We then covered the seed in soil to keep them warm!
