Learning for the Head, Heart and Hand

19th May 2023

This week we have been working really hard! In English we have been paying particular attention to our letter sizes and spelling! Miss Hayward was so impressed by our work and is enjoying the time spent reading it! We wrote the first two 'deals' in Rumpelstiltskin and added our own adjectives to make it more interesting.... without Miss Hayward even telling us to!

We have learnt about quarters and halves in Maths this week and enjoyed the challenge of finding half or a quarter of a quantity! Our favourite lesson this week, was when we played the Halves & Quarters Tic Tac Toe game! We collaborated beautifully and enjoyed working with our friends.

We have seen some growth in our sunflowers this week, which is very exciting! We have started our own sunflower diaries to track their growth. Some of us are hoping that they will grow to over 1 metre tall!

The sunny weather has made us all very excited for Summer. This week we enjoyed learning our Summer Fair dance, which we will perform to the music ‘I just can’t wait to be King!’.
