Learning for the Head, Heart and Hand

25th May 2023

This week we have enjoyed combining some of our Maths learning with our Computing. We have been learning about directions and used this learning to programme our BeeBots using commands to make different shapes.

In English we have continued our Rumpelstiltskin unit. We all took on the role of the Queens advisors and went out searching for Rumpelstiltskin's name. We then wrote a list of silly names, using our Phase 3 and Phase 5 sounds.

We loved learning about different places of worship this week, in RE, and we learnt that Christian's place of worship is the church. Muslim's visit a Mosque and Jews visit Synagogues. We learnt about the different buildings and then compared them! We found out that Mosques and Churches both have tower elements to their building- churches have spires and mosques have minarets. The synagogue has chairs but the mosque has prayer mats, because they pray on the floor.

We are excited about our half term holiday and look forward to returning in June for our last term in Hedgehogs!
