Learning for the Head, Heart and Hand

25th May 2023

Hello Everyone,

We have all been quite tired this week but continued with some great learning.

Last week in Maths we were learning all about position and direction and ordinal numbers.  He have been working together collaboratively as ‘planners, engineers and architects’ to program Beebots with left, right, forward and backward movements.  We have also been solving puzzles with positional and ordinal language.

We have finished our Rumpelstiltskin story, practising speech marks.  We have created our own fascinating made up names that the Queen might have suggested as Rumpelstiltskin’s name!

Our sunflowers are finally taking off, those that haven’t germinated yet have been reseeded. We have been recording the measurements for our science observations.

In R.E. we are continuing to look at different places of worship and comparing and contrasting them to each other.

Our new Little Wandle Ebooks have been posted onto our accounts today, please check them out if you are able.

Our marble challenge this week has been won by the Primrose team with a score of 24!   Well done to the other teams who did amazingly too!

We hope you all have a wonderful restful holiday, ready for the last term in Year1!!!

Love from the Fox Class.
