Learning for the Head, Heart and Hand
Well done to Nathan, Isabelle and Remii for receiving certificates this week. Nathan and Isabelle have made superb contributions to the school magazine - Mrs Coxall has been so impressed! Remii received the aiming high certificate this week as she has worked so hard since she arrived with us. She tries her hardest in every lesson. Well done all three of you!
This week in maths, we have been learning all about 3D shapes and nets. We have also learned about co-ordinates and we can plot them and solve problems. In English, Mrs Williams became the captain of the Titanic and welcomed all of us (first-class passengers) on board the ship. We received a ticket, a menu and were given a grand tour of the ship with musical accompaniment. We are now writing an informal letter about our experience to a loved-one at home.
We are continuing to read our class text, Wonder. We are making a class word bank and describing how it feels to be August.
In art and computing, we are learning about totem poles and designing our own.
We will continue to learn our spellings and read regularly at home.
