Learning for the Head, Heart and Hand

Week 3

Well done to Jess and Gabriel who received the Aim High certificate this week - both Jess and Gabriel are working so hard to make their work as fantastic as possible and are really pushing themselves.

Also, congratulations to: Poppy, Amelie, Lewis, Jess, Hannah and Millie for finishing their 5 Star Reader cards AND the 18 people who were 5 Star reader - amazing!!

We've had another fun week.  In maths, we have been learning more about co-ordinates.  We can read them, translate shapes and reflect shapes!  We have had loads of fun in English too.  We re-enacted the moment the Titanic hit the iceberg.  We couldn't believe that the men on lookout didn't have binoculars! We have continued to read our class book, Wonder.  We are now reading from Via's perspective which is showing us another powerful perspective of the story.  We had a fun and very hot afternoon on the field on Wednesday.  We took part in the inter-house rounders tournament and all tried our best.  We can't wait to find out the results!!  In science, we have been learning about the human life cycle.  We are creating a timeline to show how we change as we grow up.

We will continue to read and practise our spellings over the next week.
