Congratulations
Well done to Charlie, Emily S and Nathan who were awarded the Curiosity certificates this week for their amazing work at the Hackathon.
Also, well done to Josh and Elliot for fantastic English work - their witness statements from Frederick Fleet's perspective were superb!
This week
We have had a really busy week this week. We have been writing a newspaper article about the sinking of the Titanic and discussing whether the band should have played on or not, as the Titanic sunk.
In maths, we have been learning to reflect shapes. We have also been converting between kilograms and grams and kilometers and meters. We have been on our transition afternoons, ready for Year 6 too.
The children had sports day on Thursday afternoon. The children took part in races, hurdles, long jump, relay, vortex throw and discus. Even the teachers and some parents had a race too! Yellow team came first, Green second, red third and Blue fourth. Everyone tried really hard and had loads of fun!
This Friday afternoon, children are taking part in the school Music Festival. Year 5 are performing 'We don't Talk About Bruno' and playing along on guitars. Other children will be doing solos on guitars and the keyboard.
