This week, we have carried on reading Wonder. We are now reading from Auggie's perspective. We read that August's family have got a new puppy called Bear.
We had a visit from our governors and Oscar, Hannah and Emily S spoke to them about what it means to Aim High and about their science learning.
In maths, we have been learning to convert between metric and imperial units. We have also been converting between units of time and we know the clever trick to remember how many days are in each month.
In English, we have been using the drama we did to help us write a newspaper report about the Carpathia rescuing the 705 survivors of the HMS Titanic. We have been using our knowledge of direct and reported speech to include witness statements.
In computing, we edited a poorly-worded letter in word. We also watched the Year 6 production of Peter Pan. It was brilliant!
In P.E, we carried on developing our skills in Danish Longball and rounders. We are trying to get better at fair play.
In R.E, we have been learning about the third pillar of Islam. This tells us to give away 2.5% of our income at Ramadan to the poor.
In topic, we learnt about volcanoes and eruptions. We made a poster about it. We learnt they erupt because two tectonic plates rub against each other and create pressure.
