Lady Joanna Thornhill (Endowed) Primary School

Learning for the Head, Heart and Hand

Week 1

Hello!

We have had a great time getting back together after the holidays and sharing all the wonderful things everyone did. Even though there were times when we wished we could stay in our pyjamas at home, we quickly got back into the swing of things. On our first day back, the whole school did some fun activities to learn new ways of working together: supporting and listening to others, talking about our ideas, and taking responsibility for our learning. We are excited to keep using these skills in all our lessons.

We also talked about why rain is important in science  and learned about the water cycle—how water moves around the Earth. We also thought about all the different feelings we have. We know that everyone is different, so we might feel things in our own way. Understanding our feelings helps us deal with different situations and accept all kinds of emotions.

Looking ahead, we are super excited about planning our class assembly next Friday. We haven't decided what to share yet because we have learned so much, and there are so many things to talk about!

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Fox Class :-)
