Lady Joanna Thornhill (Endowed) Primary School

Learning for the Head, Heart and Hand

My child is in receipt of Higher Needs Funding – will they have one-to-one adult support?

Higher Needs Funding (HNF) levels are dependent on need and the money that the school receives can be used in a variety of ways to support a child. If HNF is awarded to a child, this will not automatically mean they have one-to-one adult support throughout the day. The money will be used to facilitate the bespoke provision needed for an individual child as detailed in their plans. This might be for specific periods of the day, to deliver specific intervention, or to provide additional class-based support for key learning.
