Spellings

Weekly spelling lists

Every Wednesday, your child will be given a new set of spellings. As well as having three spelling lessons during the week (Friday, Monday and Tuesday), they should do some work on these spellings in their Homework Book, which should be brought in to show your child's teacher on the Wednesday.

 

Some of the activities that your child could do are:

  • define the spelling words.
  • include the words in a sentence.
  • find synonyms or antonyms of the spelling words .
  • do a spelling test with your child.
