Hello Everyone,

I hope you enjoyed our assembly today, if you were able to make it.  We really enjoyed it and we were very proud of ourselves.

This week during phonics we have learnt graphemes that have different but familiar sounds attached to them.

o_e, o, ou  (u) in words such as mother, brother, nothing, done, son, won, some,

                        come, love, touch, young and above

se (z)  in words such as please, cheese, choose, noise, tease and praise

ce, se (s) in words such as house, mouse, dance, fence, choice, purse and horse

ey (ee) in words such as donkey, money, monkey, valley, key and honey

Our tricky words for this week are;

Thought, through, friend and work

This week in English we have been reading a new book called ‘Lost in the Toy Museum’ and learning to write character descriptions, setting descriptions and thinking about the past tense in verbs.

New Ebooks have been added to everyone's accounts today.  The Little Wandle book the children have been practising is in their book bags.

Our marble challenge this week has been won by the Icy team with a massive score of 49!!  Well done to all the other teams who worked really hard to earn their marbles too!

Have a good weekend

Love from the Fox Class.
