Learning for the Head, Heart and Hand

Fox Class Weekly Blog

Fox Class Weekly Blog 30th September 2022

This week we have started to learn some new phase 5 digraphs...ask us what are!

They are the ay, ou  oy ea sounds!

We have made flags for International Evening.  We had a lovely visitor from Malaysia and we learnt how they make their fantastic made moon cakes.

We have been making computer pictures of the  planets on the IPad, and we have been practising our great engineering skills making big builds out of Clics.

We have continued to enjoy our English writing all about Baby Bear and his journey to the moon, writing a diary recount as if we were Baby Bear.

We have been doing science experiments, predicting which materials would be absorbent or which might be non-absorbent.  We then tested each of the materials to see if we our predictions were right.

We have done lots of outside learning with our maths, becoming increasingly familiar with number facts to 10 and counting backwards and forwards.

During P.E., we did an obstacle course in P.E. practising going under, over and through apparatus.

Goodness! What a busy week we have had!!
