Loved working with you today Kingfishers. Here is your wonderful poem.

Week 5!

The weeks are ticking by and the children have been working so hard. We have been doing different investigations into sound this week including the children making different shaped ears out of card and testing their effectiveness! In maths we have been working on multiplying 3-digit numbers by 1-digit and in writing we have been drafting an adventure narrative based on the characters Barney and Stig (of the Dump fame!) A high energy game of dodgeball has finished us all off for the week!

Have a good rest all

Week 3

A great week which started with a walk to the War Memorial in Wye and a short service of Remembrance. The children we wonderful and we then recited the famous poem 'In Flanders Fields' which was very moving and atmospheric in the setting of the church yard.

We have also had a visit from a Palaeontologist this week who brought in lots of fascinating animal skulls and fossils including a real mammoth tooth! Children have started some great cave art after being inspire by the wonderful painting in the caves at Chauvet...school trip idea anyone?! Writing has included a fantastic description of the inside of Stig's cave (from Stig of the Dump) and we have done brilliant work on multiplying by 6,7,8 and 9.

Phew what a week. Have a lovely weekend!
